Set on Southgate Road in De Beauvoir Town, De Beauvoir Wines is the evening home of The De Beauvoir Deli. Our neighbourhood wine bar is a welcoming alternative to a traditional events venue: informal, considered and designed for people to enjoy good food, good wine and each other's company.
For anyone searching for a small party venue in Islington, Canonbury, Hackney or London N1, we're just across from the original deli, within easy reach of Dalston, Haggerston and Hoxton.

Our Southgate Road venue can host up to 40 guests indoors for a standing drinks reception. There are 28 seats inside for smaller seated gatherings, and an outdoor terrace with space for approximately 22 guests when available. The terrace is an optional extra, not a requirement for a 40-person standing event.
It's particularly well suited to drinks-led celebrations, finger food and informal gatherings where guests can move around and talk rather than follow a formal seated programme.

Food has always been at the heart of The De Beauvoir Deli. For private events, we can discuss substantial finger food, cheese and charcuterie, snacks and sharing dishes prepared by our kitchen, with menus tailored to the kind of gathering you have in mind.
Our wine list is thoughtfully selected, with independent producers and a focus on organic, biodynamic and low-intervention bottles. Cocktails, beer and soft drinks are also available.

Do you take normal wine bar table reservations?
No. Regular visits to De Beauvoir Wines are walk-in only. We do, however, accept enquiries in advance for private hire and Christmas parties.
