De Beauvoir Wines is the evening home of De Beauvoir Deli — a relaxed neighbourhood wine bar serving carefully selected wines, seasonal cheese and charcuterie, excellent bar snacks and simple food made with the same produce and attention to detail that has defined the deli for more than a decade.
Set across the road from the original De Beauvoir Deli on Southgate Road, the wine bar takes over our much-loved café in the evenings, creating a warm, informal place to meet for a glass of wine, share a few plates or settle in for the evening.

Wine, cheese and good things to eat
Our wine list is concise, carefully chosen and changes regularly. We look for wines we genuinely want to drink: interesting bottles from independent producers, with a particular focus on organic, biodynamic and low-intervention winemaking.
Alongside the wine is an ever-changing menu of cheese and charcuterie plates, seasonal dishes and bar snacks designed for sharing.
The menu reflects the best produce available to us and draws on the long-standing relationships De Beauvoir Deli has built with independent growers, cheesemakers, producers and suppliers over the years.
There is no need to come for a full meal. Drop in for a glass and something small, order a few plates to share, or stay for another bottle.
Our story
From De Beauvoir Deli to De Beauvoir Wines
De Beauvoir Deli has been part of the neighbourhood for more than a decade, known for exceptional produce, homemade food and warm, friendly service.
De Beauvoir Wines is an extension of that same approach into the evening. It is not a separate concept so much as the next chapter of the deli: the same team, the same love of good produce and independent suppliers, and the same neighbourhood atmosphere — with more wine and a little more time to linger.
De Beauvoir Town

Located on Southgate Road in De Beauvoir Town, De Beauvoir Wines sits between Hackney and Islington and is within easy reach of Canonbury, Dalston, Hoxton and Haggerston.
The bar has 28 seats inside, with room for a further 22 guests on our outdoor terrace.
Whether you live around the corner or are coming from further across London, you are very welcome to join us for a drink, a plate of cheese or an evening with friends.
Groups
Groups and private celebrations
De Beauvoir Wines is also available for group bookings and celebrations. With space inside and on the terrace, the bar works particularly well for birthdays, drinks parties, small gatherings and seasonal events.
For Christmas, we offer dedicated party options for groups looking for a relaxed neighbourhood venue with excellent wine, food and warm hospitality.
